Braddan Commissioners will meet once a month instead of fortnightly going forward.
The change, which takes force with immediate effect, was agreed at its last meeting.
It was agreed that meetings would remain in the daytime, retaining their current start time of 2pm.
The authority said: “The change will give Officers time to provide the Board with more in depth information on the various issues and be a better use of administrative time.
“In between the Board meetings, an Extraordinary meeting may be held to discuss more pressing matters or meet with external bodies or individuals.”
The next Board meeting will be held on Thursday October 23 at 2pm.
