The Isle of Man has been named the third best island in the UK (which it isn’t part of) in the Condé Nast Traveller 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards.
That improvement sees the island climb from 8th place last year, beating the Isle of Wight, Jersey and islands in Scotland.
After welcoming 329,613 visitors in 2024, the island saw a record-breaking 26,357 cruise passenger arrivals in 2025, up 21%.
These figures highlight the consistent growth in tourism and align with Visit Isle of Man’s ten-year visitor economy strategy to increase annual visitor numbers to 500,000 by 2032.
Survey
This year’s survey received over 182,500 responses from readers across the UK, offering a comprehensive look at the destinations they eagerly anticipate revisiting.
While Condé Nast Traveller places the Isle of Man within the ‘UK Islands’ category, it is important to note that the Island is not part of the UK.
Despite this shocking oversight by organisers(!), Visit Isle of Man said the ranking still reflects a significant achievement for the Isle of Man on an international stage.
