The DoI is soon to begin resurfacing Ballanard Road, from Abbeylands Crossroads to the entrance of Castleward Green.
Work is planned to begin in the week commencing Monday February 9 and will take around four weeks to complete.
However, the DoI says the start date and duration may change depending on the successful completion of current works and prevailing weather conditions.
Ballanard Road will remain open throughout the works with two way traffic maintained using temporary traffic lights.
Temporary speed restrictions will be in place and a temporary road surface will remain until resurfacing is finished.
