A protest banner and graffiti has appeared outside Baroness Michelle Mone and husband Doug Barrowman’s Ballakew estate in St Mark’s.
It appeared at the entrance to their 154‑acre estate, where a banner demanding repayment was also hung on the gate.
The graffiti follows the High Court ruling that PPE Medpro must repay more than £122 million to the UK Government for supplying unusable Covid‑19 gowns.
Court Case
The court found the company, linked to Baroness Michelle Mone and run by her husband Doug Barrowman, in breach of contract after 25 million surgical gowns were rejected for failing sterility requirements.
PPE Medpro has since entered liquidation with only limited funds available, leaving taxpayers unlikely to recover the full amount.
Barrowman has acknowledged receiving more than £60 million in profits from pandemic‑era PPE deals, with £29 million transferred into a trust benefiting Mone and her children.
The couple continue to deny wrongdoing.
