Rushen Utd completed their first league double of the season with an enthralling 5-4 win over Union Mills at Garey Mooar.
The Port Erin side took an early lead through Sarah Taylor, Mills equalised soon afterwards through Chloe Cowell, the southerners clocked up a two goal cushion through an own goal and debutante Sadie Corrie, however, the hosts fought back, levelling matters through Kelly Watterson and Cowell scoring again after the break to make it 3-3.
A quick fire double from Janine Simpson and Corrie restored their visitors’ lead to make it 5-3, however Laura Graham scored for the Clarets in the closing stages to bring a nervy ending, the Croit Lowey side held on to clinch victory.
The two top teams Corinthians and Peel both secured wins ahead on next week’s title-deciding head-to head.
The Ballafletcher side beat Onchan 5-0 through strikes form Holly Stephen (2), Lydia Shaw, Millie Dawson and Lula-Belle Findlay.
On the other Ballafletcher pitch Peel beat Douglas 9-1, Pippa Wallis (4), Louise Gibbins (2), Sarsh Wignall, Lucy Connor and Tia Lisy netted for the westerners, Caitlyn Smith netted the Whites’ consolation.
