Nathan Harrison has vowed to “keep pushing forward” after securing a pair of eighth-place finishes in the Superbike and Senior races.
The Onchan rider said he was pleased with his performance despite struggling with handling issues throughout the fortnight.
The H&H Motorcycles rider admitted he had hoped for more, with weather disruption hampering the 1000cc class he considers his strongest.
“I was hoping for more and I know what I was and am capable of, but we were struggling with handling issues which held me back right up until the Senior,” Harrison said.
With no practice laps ahead of the Senior due to poor weather, Harrison used the opening lap to adapt. “Once I settled in, it felt much better but unfortunately the race was cut short due to an accident,” he added.
“It was a shame I couldn’t achieve the results I wanted this year for myself and the team but I’m young with plenty of years ahead of me and I keep getting reminded about the years of experience and TT wins the seven guys that were in front of me have. I guess the work starts now for next year.”
Harrison, who was taken out in a major crash at Donington Park just five months ago, said: “This has been another comeback journey. I’ve worked tirelessly all winter to return as strong as possible, and I’m proud of the progress we’ve made.”
He paid tribute to his father and the H&H Motorcycles team and sent his thoughts to the family of Dan Ingham and all injured riders.
