A 20-year-old from Lincolnshire has been named as the recipient of the RST ‘Star of Tomorrow’ award for this year’s TT.
Rhys Stephenson, the youngest competitor at this year’s event, was presented with the award by Official Safety Partner RST.
Recognising outstanding performance, dedication and potential, the award is decided by Rider Liaison Officers John Barton and Richard ‘Milky’ Quayle.
Stephenson competed in the opening Carole Nash Sportbike TT on Friday afternoon, finishing the race in 24th place at an average speed of 113.550mph. The result earned him a Bronze Replica and made him the second-fastest TT newcomer behind Manx Grand Prix graduate Toby Shann.
Stephenson came up through the ranks of the British Championship paddock, first competing in the British Talent Cup in 2021 before a breakthrough year saw him finish fourth in the points in 2022.
Having spent two years competing in the National Sportbike Championship with successful results, he has put competing at the TT as his main priority for 2026.
