Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover has announced he will seek re‑election at the 2026 General Election.
Mr Glover said public service remained “the biggest honour and privilege” of his career. He highlighted casework for hundreds of constituents and described himself as visible, approachable and focused on fairness throughout the term.
His scrutiny roles have included serving on the Social Affairs Policy Review Committee, the Select Committee on Whistleblowing Policy Implementation and the Standing Orders Committee.
He also chaired the Office of Fair Trading, noting pride in the team’s work during the Island’s gas billing crisis, and previously held political roles within the Department of Infrastructure and Cabinet Office.
Mr Glover said his experience had shown him “where the keys to the doors are” to secure answers and progress issues. If returned to the Keys, he said he would seek a position in the Council of Ministers, arguing the south should have representation at that level.
He pointed to ongoing challenges including the cost of living, the economy, housing, health services, infrastructure and workforce pressures, and invited constituents to share their priorities before he drafts his manifesto.
His constituency colleague Jason Moorhouse has yet to declare his intention regarding re-election.
Mark Firth, Jeroen Wats and Kirrie Jenkins have also so far declared their intention to stand in Arbory, Castletown and Malew.
