Dixon Appointed Ravens Boss

FC Isle of Man has confirmed Lee Dixon as the club’s new first-team manager, succeeding Rick Holden who oversaw a caretaker spell last season.

Dixon, who has been involved with the club since its inception seven and a half years ago, takes the reins with pre-season training commencing on Monday.

Speaking to club media, Lee said: “I’m obviously very happy, but I’m not kidding myself – there’s a lot of hard work ahead. It’s going to be a roller coaster with ups and downs.”

The new manager outlined his immediate priorities for the squad: “I want to get us more solid and balanced defensively, with the mentality to become a team that’s very hard to beat. It’ll take time to get a new mindset around it all, but it’s a very simple mindset – effort and commitment from the lads.”

The club’s Festival of Football, featuring Bury, Radcliffe and EFL League Two side Shrewsbury Town, will provide an early test of Dixon’s credentials.

“I’ll give everything I can to make it as enjoyable as possible and give the fans a team that will run through walls for the results we require,” he added.
