The Department for Enterprise has provided no financial support to King Gaming Ltd, its affiliates or its subsidiaries, Minister Tim Johnston has confirmed.
The confirmation was issued following a question from Rushen MHK Dr Michelle Haywood, who asked for a breakdown of any assistance given, including amounts, dates, objectives, the schemes used and who authorised each element.
Mr Johnston said that no support of any kind had been provided, meaning no grants, loans, guarantees or other forms of financial assistance have been issued to the company or related entities.
Police raided King Gaming’s office in Douglas in April 2024, officers tried and failed to break down the door to the finance department, which a former employee described as unusually well-fortified, before smashing a first-floor window to climb through in search of financial documents.
