Name That Tanker

A new LPG road tanker has joined the Isle of Man Energy fleet, and the company wants island kids to give it a name.

Isle of Man Energy has invested £300,000 in two new tankers as part of wider upgrades to its gas and LPG network.

To mark the arrival, youngsters are invited to download a colouring sheet from the firm’s Facebook page, decorate it, and submit a name for one of the vehicles.

The winning choice will be translated into Manx for Blein ny Gaelgey 2026 and displayed on the tanker as it travels the Island.

Managing Director Aidan Baglow says the new tankers are part of long-term investment in safe, reliable energy delivery, adding that inviting children to name one “reflects the Island’s community spirit”.

How to enter:

  • Download the colouring sheet from Isle of Man Energy’s Facebook page
  • Colour it in and choose a name
  • Upload a photo of the finished entry
  • Winner receives vouchers and their chosen name on the tanker
