Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games
The Isle of Man Swimming Team made a solid start at the Tollcross Aquatics Centre this morning, breaking three Manx records and booking spots in tonight’s finals.
Records
Harry Robinson swam a 26.16 in the men’s 50m backstroke, lowering the Manx record and being placed as a reserve for the evening session.
The women’s 4x100m freestyle relay: Ella Justice, Kiera Prentice, Lauren Dennett and Libby Curphey then tore nine seconds off the island record with 4:01.51, sadly it wasn’t enough to qualify but they have reserve status for tonight’s final.
In the Men’s 4x100m freestyle team, Peter Allen, Magnus Kelly, Robinson and Joel Watterson delivered 3:24.69, slicing two seconds off the Manx record and confirming their place in the final.

- Kiera Prentice hit a PB 4:32.94 in the 400m freestyle.
- Charlie Foster clocked 28.22 in the 50m backstroke, trimming his lifetime best and coming 3rd in his heat.
- Debutant Zack Bellhouse posted 1:09.31 in the 100m breaststroke.
- Fellow newcomer Alex Turnbull followed with 1:06.20 in the next heat.
Other Results
Libby Curphey added 2:26.54 in the 200m backstroke, while Dennett recorded 4:32.96 in her 400m freestyle heat.
