MAC Financial has announced that George Richardson has moved into its advisory team as a Trainee Independent Financial Advise.
Richardson joined the business in 2023 as a paraplanner and went on to lead the paraplanning function.
He has now begun adviser training, working alongside MAC Financial’s senior advisers as he works towards being signed off to provide advice to private and corporate clients.
His move follows a series of professional achievements. Richardson completed the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning in 2023 and the Advanced Diploma in 2025, gaining Chartered Financial Planner status.
He was named the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Young Achiever of the Year in 2024 and received the FPIBA Education Award for Academic Excellence in March 2026.
Richardson said the transition builds on the technical foundation developed during his paraplanning work and will allow him to develop client‑facing experience.
Managing Director Ed Walter described the move as a “significant milestone” and praised Richardson’s commitment and contribution to the firm.
Richardson will continue to work closely with MAC Financial’s advisory team as he progresses towards full adviser status.
