There has been a small increase in the number of people out of work in the Isle of Man.
The Labour Market Report for July 2026, compiled and published by the Cabinet Office, shows there were 315 people unemployed, an increase of four since June 2026.
The unemployment rate for July 2026 is 0.7 per cent, the same as the previous month.
The report says that 564 job vacancies remained at the Job Centre in July, an increase of 92 compared with June. Of these, 63 per cent (357) were full-time positions and 37 per cent (207) were part time.
Of the 357 full-time positions, 8 per cent (29) are classified as seasonal/temporary/fixed term and, of the 207 part-time positions, 38 per cent (78) also fell into these categories.
Of the 315 out of work, 203 were male and 112 were female.
The highest number of vacancies was in “medical and health services”, with 87.
