Patients at six GP surgeries may find themselves offered telephone consultations rather than face-to-face appointments.
Manx Care says the surgeries will now provide a remote service. If suitable, patients will be offered a telephone consultation instead of a physical appointment.
Physical appointments will continue to be available but waiting lists may be longer.
The following practices will now offer the service after it was successfully piloted in Ramsey:
- Ramsey Group Practice
- Peel Group Practice (from August 28)
- Kensington Group Practice (from September 4)
- Snaefell Surgery (from September 9)
- Finch Hill Medical Centre (from September 11)
- Palatine Group Practice (from September 15)
Patients will continue to contact their practice the usual way.
