Gambling Firms Asked to Review Safety Checks

The Gambling Supervision Commission has advised licence holders to review their policies following an international report.

Global watchdog Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has published a report on the risks of gaming and gambling.

The report includes a list of red flags to identify potential risks related to money laundering, terrorist financing and funding weapons of mass destruction.

Since the last report in 2009 the industry has evolved due to a variety of factors including the growth of online gambling and an increasing diversity of payment methods.

The GSC asks licence holders to review the publication and consider whether its findings and risk indicators should be incorporated across their businesses.
