UCM has launched a new initiative aimed at strengthening links between employers and students while boosting graduate employability.
The WorkReady Partnership, unveiled at last week’s Bridging the Skills Gap employers event, is a free accreditation scheme that recognises organisations providing high-quality work placements and work experience opportunities.
Employers that meet the criteria will receive WorkReady Partner accreditation, while students who complete placements will earn a WorkReady Completion badge that can be displayed on CVs and LinkedIn profiles.
UCM says the scheme will help employers build future talent pipelines, while giving students valuable workplace experience and a recognised record of their skills and commitment.
Accredited employers will also be invited to key UCM events, including careers fairs, awards ceremonies and guest lecture opportunities.
