A short break from misery this weekend as we will be seeing quite a bit of sunshine, rain too but we won’t focus on that.
From what I’ve been told the past ten days on the island have been somewhat desperate.
Although at first I thought the claims were just my disgruntled family making me feel bad for buggering off to the alps, the evidence of my flooded fields backs them up rather well.
A Short Break
The good news is that it’ll stay fine for much of today, before the bad news that rain and strong winds arrive later this evening.
This will fall as snow on the hills for a time before turning back to rain during the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Rain will thankfully clear before dawn on tomorrow, leaving sunny intervals and scattered blustery showers, with fresh to strong southwest winds.
Outlook
On Monday there will be sunny intervals mixed with scattered showers, with temperatures reaching 8°C and dropping to 4°C.
Winds will be strong from the west at first, then decrease and turn northerly later, with good visibility overall but occasional poor visibility in showers and hill fog.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, conditions will improve with mainly sunny intervals, lighter northerly winds turning easterly later, good visibility, and only a small chance of very light rainfall.
