Manx Utilities has paid tribute to its chairman John Wannenburgh, saying staff across the organisation are deeply saddened by his passing.
Executive Director Adrian Dobbins said Wannenburgh provided “exceptional leadership and guidance”, bringing integrity, wisdom and a strong commitment to public service.
He said Wannenburgh helped shape Manx Utilities’ strategic direction and leaves a lasting legacy within the organisation.
He was “greatly respected” by board members, the executive team and employees, Dobbins added, and will be deeply missed.
Manx Utilities has extended its condolences to Mr Wannenburgh’s family, friends and colleagues at what it described as a very difficult time.
