Corinthians drew 0-0 away at St John’s on Saturday to hand a possible advantage to Laxey in the title race.
With Onchan also winning, there is just two points separating the top three, with the miners and Os having a game in hand.
That 0-0 draw leaves the unbeaten Corinthians top of the Canada Life Premier League on 18 points, with Laxey, also yet to be betean, on 17 points and Onchan on 16.
The miners welcomed Braddan to Glen Road on Saturday with Ed Kangah leading the way with a hat trick. Jack Ridings also helped himself to two goals, with Tom Smith and Joe Walters completing the 7-1 win.
Down the road in Onchan, the Os beat Union Mills 5-1 thanks to goals from Max Shirley, Andy Asbridge, Tom Creer and Ethan Leivers, with Isaac Quilliam getting the consolation goal.
Railway Cup Spots
With the top three looking very likely for a place in the Railway Cup, St Mary’s picked up a vital win over Rushen in their bid to pip them to the fourth spot, winning 2-1 at the Bowl thanks to two strikes from Tyrese Thompson.
That result leaves Rushen fourth on 13 points, St Mary’s fifth on nine. Ramsey, who lost 1-2 to Ayre on Saturday, also have nine points, but have played a game less than Marys.
Add into this that Peel have eight points from their five games so far, it could be a few weeks yet before that picture sorts itself.
Div 2
Castletown’s seemingly unstoppable march to the title came to a shuddering halt on Saturday as they were beaten 3-1 by Pulrose.

The now only unbeaten side in the second flight, Colby, boosted their own title hopes with a 3-5 win away at St Georges on Saturday with goals from Carl Hickey, Michael Thompson, Thomas Walton and Martyn Vigus-Brown.
RYCOB are third in Div2 and beat D&D 1-4 this weekend with their goals being scored by Dan Callow, Tom Hall and Will Smith.
Elsewhere there was a big win for Marown on Saturday as they beat Malew 7-2 with the goals coming from Connor Gilbert, Alex Marley, Carl Hartmann, Harry Barton and Michael Hughes.
The other game saw Douglas Royal beat Governors 4-2, but we don’t have scorers from either side for that game.
