Residents are being encouraged to drop in to the next Isle be Ready session, taking place at the Sea Terminal in Douglas next week.
The event on Monday (June 22) will offer practical advice on how to prepare for emergencies and stay safe.
Running from 10am to 1pm, the free event will bring together key emergency and response agencies from across the island, giving the public the chance to meet frontline teams and learn simple steps to prepare for situations such as severe weather, power cuts or travel disruption.
Organised as part of the Department of Home Affairs’ wider resilience programme, Isle be Ready aims to strengthen community preparedness and highlight how individuals, families and businesses can build their own resilience.
Emergency Planning Officer Jane Kelly MBE said the initiative is about giving people “the confidence and knowledge to look after themselves and each other when it matters most,” adding that hosting the event in a busy public space helps reach a wide audience.
No booking is required, and attendees can drop in at any time.
