The island’s Health Minister will be asked whether Manx Care is planning to make service cuts when the Keys sit in the morning.
Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher will asked whether any reductions to elective surgeries or other services are being proposed or planned; and if Claire Christian will make a statement.
Ms Faragher was granted permission to by the Speaker to add the urgent question to the sitting.
Last week in Tynwald the issue of Manx Care’s funding again became a focus when Ms Christian announced a deal had been struck with the BMA to avert a doctors’ strike.
However when Ms Christin was asked how Manx Care is going to pay for that deal when it is already several million pounds over its initial budget, she never gave a clear answer to members.
