Are You Using Water Wisely?

Manx Utilities is asking islanders to reconsider their water usage after one of the driest March months in over 70 years.

The call comes during Water Saving Week, which focuses on how small changes can protect the Isle of Man’s supply.

This year’s campaign, ‘Small waste, big impact’, focuses on simple steps like turning off taps while brushing teeth, fixing leaks promptly, and only running dishwashers when full.

With the island entirely dependent on its own water reserves, average daily consumption remains high at 375 litres per person—among the highest in the British Isles.

The exceptionally dry March, the least rainfall since 1953, has heightened concerns over sustainable usage.
