Armed police officers will be conducting training in the south of the island today.
The Constabulary has issued the notice just so people aren’t concerned.
The firearms unit will be practising searches in the open searching for armed subjects in the open countryside.
It said: “This is just an exercise and is part of our adherence to the national training programme and the public should not be concerned.”
