A public requisition meeting will take place tonight to discuss the future of Baldrine Methodist Sunday School, amid concerns the building could face closure.
The meeting has been called by Stephen Carter, Captain of the Parish of Lonan, to give residents an opportunity to consider options for preserving the building, which has long served the community as a chapel, Sunday school and venue for local society meetings and events.
The notice states that the session will allow parishioners to explore “possible proposals to save the Sunday School,” including the potential for it to be repurposed as a community hall.
The meeting will be held tonight (March 27) at the Sunday School, starting at 7.30pm.
