Douglas East MHK Clare Barber has confirmed she will stand for re‑election this September.
She says ten years in Tynwald has given her “insight into the many differing priorities” faced by people across the Island.
Barber said supporting constituents at vulnerable moments has shaped her work, whether helping people navigate existing systems or pushing for policy and legislative change.
She said the island’s economic performance underpins all other priorities, with stable finances needed to support essential services such as health and education.
Barber described her approach as collegiate, emphasising collaboration with political colleagues, officers, campaign groups and constituents, even where views differ.
She said she will now seek a further term to “continue driving positive change” for Douglas East and the wider island.
