Sir John Lorimer has presented Bernard Moore with the Lieutenant Governor’s Commendation.
Sir John visited Bernard and his wife, Bernie, at their home to present the commendation in recognition of his outstanding service to the Scouts.
Mr Moore has given more than 40 years of dedicated voluntary service to Scouting on the Isle of Man, inspiring generations of young people through his hands-on leadership, practical skills, and unfailing commitment.
Government House said: “The Lieutenant Governor and Mr and Mrs Moore enjoyed a convivial hour together, chatting over coffee about family, travels, and fond memories of Scouting.
“The island is truly fortunate to have benefitted from Mr Moore’s dedication, and this award reflects the esteem in which he is held by the Scouting community and beyond.”
