An application has been submitted that would see six flats above a Douglas pub.
Pop Investments also plans to make changes to the Thirsty Pigeon (Odin’s Raven) including a new entrance and outdoor seating.
If approved by planners, the existing door on Victoria Street would be replaced with a window, with the main pub entrance being on Nelson Street
The outdoor seating would be on both Victoria and Nelson streets, with new signage installed promoting Odin’s Raven.
Within the pub, the bar will be repositioned and internal layout altered on ground floor.
However, bad news for fans of nearby toilets, they won’t be moving.
Flats
The offices above the pub have been unused for a while, with these plans intended to bring a new life to then.
Across the upper floors, there would be six flats accessed via Nelson Street.
There would be a mixture of one and two-bed flats across the three floors.
A previous application to open the upstairs for flats was withdrawn in 2023.
