This morning, Treasury Minister Chris Thomas will deliver his first Budget to Tynwald.
Members of Tynwald and the public have been promised a “substantial” rise in personal thresholds.
However, the exact figure is still unknown and is expected to be announced shortly after 10am.
Packed Agenda
Following the budget, members of Tynwald have a acked agenda, including major items on health governance reform and new minimum wage regulations.
Members will consider the Department of Health and Social Care’s preferred “Option 3” model to strengthen its partnership with Manx Care, with detailed proposals due by June.
Minimum wage regulations for adults and young workers will also be brought forward, alongside updates to public health notification rules and statutory board payments
Several departmental reports will be laid before the Court, and a new member will be elected to the Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee.
The sitting will include with a wide range of questions covering population growth, pensions, ferry emissions, MiCard transitions, and access to government services.
