A popular cafe in the north of the island is seeking a new leaseholder for the period January 1, 2027, through to December 31, 2033, Ramsey Town Commissioners have confirmed.
The Boathouse Cafe, located on the shores of the boating lake in Mooragh Park, is currently occupied by ‘The Boathouse Eatery in the park’, serving local seafood, lunchtime meals and homemade cakes.
Owners Jen and Simon say: “So our lease comes to an end in December this year. The Ramsey Town Commissioners are now seeking a new tenant to take on the Boathouse Cafe.
“It’s a cracking little business and we really hope they find the right person. We’re so grateful for all the wonderful staff we’ve had over the years, and of course each and every customer. Thank you!
They added: “We aren’t closing yet so come and see us in the park before we go later this year.”
The commissioners have stated that applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in operating within the hospitality sector, and that the lease will require the Cafe to be operational between and including the Easter and Manx Grand Prix period as a minimum.
