Great Britain’s team pursuit squad, including Glasgow Commonwealth Games superstar Matt Bostock, have won the bronze medal at the 2026 Tissot UCI Track World Championships in Shanghai, China.
The new-look British outfit triumphed over the French quartet in the bronze medal ride-off, winning by 3.106 seconds after being in arrears for large parts of the 4km race.
While the Glen Vine man produced a strong performance in the earlier qualifying rounds, he was substituted out for the medal-winning ride, as he takes aim at his second event of the week. The Manxman will compete in the scratch race, a format in which he finished fourth at this year’s Commonwealth Games, in a few moments’ time.
Start lists for future endurance events at the championships are yet to be submitted, and it is thus far unclear whether the National Circuit Race Champion will have any further involvement.
