Braddan Bridge resurfacing work to begin today

Credit: Department of Infrastructure

Work to resurface Braddan Bridge on the A1 Peel Road, from the junction with Braddan Road to the Braddan Church roundabout will start today (Wednesday).

The DOI said the work will include resurfacing the Jubilee Oak roundabout.

There will be two different traffic management set ups. One will operate on weekdays and the other at the weekend.

Parking Suspension

Due to anticipated increases in traffic on the diversion routes, parking will be suspended on Saddle Road and Strang Road seven days a week for the duration of the scheme. “No parking” cones will be deployed to assist. Parking in reserved parking bays by the pertinent permit holders will be permitted. Residents are asked to ensure that vehicles are removed by 9am on Wednesday 10 January. Letters have been delivered to residents on both roads.

Hertiage Trail / TT Access Road

The Heritage Trail/TT Access Road between Quarterbridge and Braddan Bridge will remain open to walkers, equestrians and cyclists.

Arrangements have been made to allow access to emergency services (only) via this route. Other vehicular users will not be permitted access.
