Braddan took a big step towards promotion and a possible Division Two title as they beat Old Boys 6-3 at Victoria Road in a game which saw the visitors end with nine men after two red cards.
Dean Turton who was at the game for Upfront Footy said Old Boys “hit self destruct with 20 to go as they went down to 9 men and Braddan run out comfortable winners here”.

Corinthians
A Sean Doyle hat trick inspired Corinthians to a 4-3 win over Ayre on Saturday, handing Peel a major boost in the Premier League title race.
Doyle, who was available due to FC Isle of Man’s game away at Bury being postponed, scored three in a goal filled second half at Ballafletcher.
After Harry Best gave the Railway Cup holders a lead at the break, Doyle got on the end of a Dan Simpson cross to make it 1-1 before Josh Riding set up Deaglan Blake to make it 2-1 just before the hour mark.
Riding turned provider again soon after as he fed Doyle to make it 3-1 with 68 minutes played. He then completed his hat trick just moments later as he made it 4-1 with less than 20 to go.
Ayre’s Shaun Kelly, often a scorer of big goals, brought them back into it with a free kick in the 75th to make it 4-2 before Leo Tregurtha made it 4-3 in the 85th to set up a tense finish which Corinthians were able to see out.
Peel
Over on the west coast Peel welcomed St Georges to Douglas Road where, after a fairly even first 40 minutes, which twice saw Ed Kangah denied for the visitors before Tommy Brown broke the deadlock.
After Ben Wilkinson saved from Matty Wood’s effort, Brown pounced and slotted home to make it 1-0 at the break. Peel said that was his 100th senior goal for the club.
As the game entered its closing stages still 1-0 it was two goals in three minutes that secured the win for Peel as Brown broke free down the right and squared to give Paul Whitehead a simple job of tapping it home.
Brown would wrap up the win moments later as he slid on to a Wood’s pass, just getting there before Wilkinson to make it 3-0.
Those results put Peel six points clear at the top of the league with 37 points. Corinthians join Ayre on 31 points, but the northern side do have a game in hand over both sides.
