Bushy’s TT Village is gearing up for TT 2026 with a bigger entertainment line‑up, fresh food vendors and a renewed focus on smooth crowd flow.
The team says this year’s event will be one of the most vibrant and well‑run yet at the Villa Marina Gardens.
Speaking to Manx.News, organiser Dave Wookey of Key Bar Events said preparations begin as early as November, with around 45 contractors involved in building the site in the week before opening.
Coordination with police, fire services, environmental health and sponsors forms a major part of the pre‑TT workload.
Big Year Ahead
This year’s programme features 30 live bands from 6pm onwards, along with a daily DJ slot from 2pm to 5.30pm led by Neil Cowie, who will bring a different musical theme each day.
There will also be a special Mad Sunday set, and the Village’s only UK act, an Elton John tribute, will take to the stage on Sunday night.
On the food front, six vendors have already been confirmed, with a possible seventh still to come.
Returning favourites include Only Foods and Sauces, Douglas Pizza Company, Time Out, and Food Monkey, while two newcomers, Sombrero, offering Mexican dishes, and Stacked, serving gourmet sandwiches and bagels, will join the line‑up for 2026.
A Growing Success Story
Wookey acknowledged that queues are often unavoidable, especially when racing finishes and crowds surge toward the site. Capacity is capped at 4,000 under fire regulations.
“We monitor the bars with cameras,” he said. “If they get three deep, we hold the door briefly. We want people served quickly, we don’t always get it perfect, but we try.”
Wookey credited business partner Harry Barber, who helped move the event from the Bottleneck to the Villa Gardens in 2018. The larger site has allowed the Village to grow into one of TT’s most popular attractions.
“It’s hard work, but we love doing it,” he said.
