Swift Motors has paid tribute to its owner and founder Stephen Hands after his death following a crash earlier this week.
Mr Hands, 61, died following a crash at the junction of Glenn Mooar Road and the Poortown Road, on Tuesday.
Swift Motors said: “We’re incredibly saddened to announce the passing of Our Company Director Mr Steve Hands.
“Founder of Swift Motors over 30 years ago with his business partner Mark Caley he’ll be very sadly missed by his staff, family and friends.
“He was known for his ability to turn his hand to fixing anything and great customer service. Swifts won’t be the same without him.
“A great friend and Boss and he’ll always be in our hearts.”
Investigation
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or was travelling in the area at the time, in particular, the driver of a white van that was travelling towards Ballig Bridge from the direction of Peel on the Poortown Road.
For anyone travelling in the area around the time, the Police are also asking them to check any dash camera footage that may assist.
