Highway Services is calling on the public to call them if a salt bin is found to be empty.
Staff from the Department of Infrastructure are replenishing bins as quickly as possible.
The salt from the bins can be used to treat pavements or junctions, etc.
It says it has over 1000 deployed across the island and reminds people teams can’t get to them all straight away.
If you find a salt bin that is empty call 850000.
