A mental health charity has paid tribute to a woman who died just days after walking in the Parish Walk to raise funds.
Caroline Kelly was raising money for Ed Space, which provides support for those struggling with mental health in memory of her 13-year-old Emily.
In a post, the charity said it was “heartbroken” to hear of her loss.
“After everything she had been through, she still found the strength to think about others and to keep pushing for better understanding, better support and more compassion for people facing mental health struggles,” the organisation said.
Ed Space said Caroline was not seeking recognition but was motivated by a deep concern for others.
“She wasn’t doing it for recognition or praise, she was doing it because she cared deeply about other people and wanted a world where nobody felt they had to suffer alone,” the post added.
