Christmas Eve Belfast Sailings (Updated)

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company (IOMSPC) has updated its forecast on the Christmas Eve sailings to and from Belfast which were previously in doubt.

Based on the latest weather forecast this sailing will depart as scheduled. Passengers are asked to check-in as normal.

The sailings are:

  • December 24 – 7:00am – Douglas to Northern Ireland
  • December 24 – 1:15pm – Northern Ireland to Douglas

Sailings to Belfast

During the winter months, sailings to and from Northern Ireland (NI) are few and far between.

The next available sailings to NI from the Isle of Man are:

  • December 31 departing Douglas at 7am;
  • March 28 departing Douglas at 7am.

For those wanting to visit the Republic of Ireland (ROI) via sea directly from the Isle of Man will have to wait until April 4.

Crossing times

The crossing time is approximately 2hrs 45mins on the Manannan to the Northern port.

Some sailings will be operated by the company’s new flagship ‘Manxman’ which will have a crossing time of 4hrs 45mins.

All these journey times are approximate and subject to tidal and weather conditions.

Sailings to Dublin are approximately 2hrs 55mins on the Manannan, again all journey times are approximate and subject to tidal and weather conditions.
