Douglas City Council yesterday (March 28) selected its Mayor for the forthcoming 2024-25 municipal year.
During a Special meeting of the Council, Councillor Mrs Natalie Byron-Teare was selected as Mayor for the municipal year ending Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Councillor Mrs Natalie Byron-Teare signified her intention to accept the office, if confirmed, at the Annual Council Meeting on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
Described as a ‘dedicated councillor’ for Douglas Central, she was first elected to the local authority at a by-election in 2016 before being re-elected in 2021. She is the current Mayor of the city after being elected in May 2023.
