Isle of Man Creamery has moved to reassure customers after a government-set milk price increase, saying the change does not apply to its core product range.
A 6.6% rise in milk prices was announced this morning by the government.
However, the Creamery clarified that the adjustment is specific to local milk sold in pint-sized glass bottles.
“We’d like to clarify that this change does not apply to Isle of Man Creamery milk, as it only affects local milk sold in pint-sized glass bottles,” it said.
The price of pint bottles, which are outside the Creamery’s usual range, will increase to 96p.
All other products remain unchanged, with 500ml cartons at 85p, one litre cartons at £1.50, and 1.75 litre cartons at £2.30.
“We hope this reassures customers and thank you for your continued support,” the statement added.
