Douglas Fire Station went to the aid of boxer dog who was stuck at the bottom of a steep embankment
Reggie had got himself stuck at on the bank of the the River Douglas near the Nunnery.
Crews setup a safe system of work and a line rescue operative was lowered to reach him.
With a few tasty treats, Reggie was persuaded into the Fire and Rescue Service’s brand new small animal rescue bag and safely hauled back to the top.
Station Officer Hughes said: “We’re happy to report Reggie is safe and well and the bag has now been nicknamed “Reggie” in his honour!”
