Ramsey Commissioners say it’s “crucial” for residents in the north to be able to access government services without having to travel to Douglas.
Chair Sandra Cottam-Shea believes there is a “comprehensive’ third sector and public sector but often the disconnect can leave people stuck.
A scheme will see the town be used as a “regional hub” for government services including digital support, signposting and assistance with government forms and applications.
Cottam-Shea says the town hall is there to “serve” the residents of Ramsey.
