DfE confirms five year deal with new TT merchandise supplier

The Department for Enterprise (DfE) have confirmed that following ‘a full competitive tender process’ it has entered into a five year agreement with Source Lab for the licensed supply and production of official Isle of Man TT Merchandise.

Tim Johnston MHK, Minister for Enterprise, commented:“Source Lab are a reputable business with a wealth of experience working within the sporting merchandise sector.

“The length of this new contract will offer long-term security for Island retailers and also provides assurances for the Department with the payment of an upfront licensing fee.”

The Minister added: “Since the contract was executed, Source Lab have been building good relationships with Island retailers and are on-track to deliver a new core product range in May for distribution across wholesale, the official online store as well as on event via the Fan Park and Granstand stores.

“The quality of the samples and reduced pricing of the new core range has been well received by the Island retailers to date and as such the Department is confident in the capabilities of Source Lab and looks forward to seeing their delivery of products for 2024 and beyond.”

Mrs Sarah Maltby MHK, Political Member with Responsibility for Motorsport, commented:

“I acknowledge that our local community would have welcomed the new contract being undertaken by a local supplier, however, in lieu of any interest from local companies during the tender process, I am confident that Source Lab will be able to deliver a quality product range and service to both local suppliers, fans and residents to ensure everyone is able to take a reminder of the TT Races home with them.”

Full details of the new core range and further ranges that will be launching throughout the year will be released via the official TT channels in the coming weeks.
