Everything crossed that is the last we see of any kind of storm for quite some time; it is just rude to intrude on August like that.
A few scattered showers at first this morning (August 21) but quickly becoming mostly dry with only the odd very isolated shower the rest of the day along with sunny spells.
Temperatures reaching up to 16°C at best in a moderate to fresh west to southwest wind.
Sunday (August 25) will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, however some drier spells are possible for a time around the middle of the day.
Windy with a strong southwest wind and highs of 16 or possibly 17°C.
No Storm?
The long range weather forecast is quite mixed, but there is no clear concern (as of yet) that we should see Docky Horror Show Three.
Monday (August 26) is forecast to be mostly dry and bright with spells of sunshine, then rain (2-5mm) arriving overnight.
The wind will be a W or SW 15-20, backing S or SW 20-25 during the afternoon, increasing 25-30 overnight.
Get your waterproofs out for Tuesday though, as it is forecast to be cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle through much of the day.
It’ll be breezy enough too, with S or SW 30-35 gusts 35-40, decreasing S or SW 25-30, then S 15-20 later.
The outbreaks of rain? Yes, well currently the forecast is 10-15mm with 15-25mm on the hills.
