A group of degree-level students are hosting a dodgeball tournament to raise funds for Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation.
The University College Isle of Man (UCM) students will be hosting the tournament on March 29 from 4:30pm – 7:30pm.
The tournament at the National Sports Centre (NSC) will consist of teams made up of 8-10 players.
Dodgeball Fundraiser
Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation is particularly meaningful to the group, as its focus is to raise the necessary funding to enable heart screenings for men and women of the ages 14-35 in the Isle of Man.
This screening helps detect any symptoms of hypertrophic and dilated cardiomyopathy, thereby aiding the prevention of Sudden death syndrome.
Each screening costs £70 per person and by providing these screenings they are able to identify at-risk individuals and potentially prevent sudden cardiac events, which could be life saving.

They also have a Go Fund Me page set up for those who wish to contribute online.
