Dogs ‘really should’ be allowed on the beach, irresponsible owners ‘tar’ everyone else’ and dog poo should be cleaned up.
These are some of the comments raised by residents after Douglas Council’s announcement that they will be allowed on the beach as part of a year-long trial.
The local authority says Glen Falcon will also be opened to dogs on the same trial basis and its success will be down to people not abusing the trial.
Its byelaws go up for renewal in 2028, and currently dogs are only allowed on the beach and in certain parks during set times of the year.
