Women’s footballing history was made on Sunday with Douglas & District playing their first, ever senior women’s football match at Noble’s Park, losing 8-0 to Douglas Royal.
The Whites led 4-0 at half-time, Rebecca Cole (3), Caitlyn Smith (2) Sarah O’Reilly, Zoe Hawley and Gemma Kirkham netted for the Ballafletcher outfit.
Corinthians registered their first win of the season after beating Union Mills 6-2, despite fielding 9 players.
Milly Dawson (3), Lula-Belle Findlay (2) and Kiera Morgan scored for the Ballafletcher side, the Garey Mooar response came from a Tia Lisy brace.
