Down Hill Skateboarding to Take on Tholty

This weekend the World Down hill Skateboarding Championships will take place on the Isle of Man for the very first time.

The 1.2 km course is starting near the Sulby Reservoir, heading down towards Tholt-y-Will Glen.

It will begin at the cattle grate with a fairly straight shot allows the speed to build up for the first hard right.

Douglas South MHK, Sarah Maltby said: “This year will be a tester for the organisers who have really great ambitious plans for bigger and even better events for years to come.”

The event will take place from Friday (July 4) until Sunday (July 6).
