Ronaldsway was briefly closed this afternoon after a pilot reported seeing a drone nearby.
The Police have been called to the area to search for the drone.
The closure is only expected to last for a brief time and will not impact on scheduled flights.
It is illegal to fly a drone within three nautical miles of the airport without prior permission from aviation authorities.
The airfield has since re-opened
