The minutes from Energy Policy Board meetings are confidential and will not be published.
The board, set up in October 2023, is responsible for the overall strategic direction and policy coordination for all matters relating to the island’s on and offshore energy strategy.
Chris Thomas (Douglas Central) asked the Chief Minister if he will publish all meeting dates, agendas and summary minutes of the Energy Policy Board meetings and if not, why?
Mr Cannan said: “The minutes and agendas from the Board meetings are not published.
“As a Board of the Council of Ministers, the statutory confidentiality of the Council of Ministers Act 1990 applies.”
He also confirmed the board has met on the following dates:
- 23 October 2023;
- 06 November 2023;
- 27 November 2023;
- 12 January 2024;
- 04 March 2024;
- 17 June 2024;
- 22 July 2024;
- 16 September 2024.
